SE RAMP Potential Weather

Good afternoon everyone –

Tropical_Update_9-26-22_AM

With the potential of Hurricane Ian making landfall somewhere in the state, we are starting our preparations here.  This storm is expected to have a significant amount of rain (estimates now are approximately 10” in our area), and with this being the case, we would like to request that all tenants take a moment to visit their hangars to ensure that nothing is sitting loose or in cardboard boxes currently stored on the floor.

As we experienced with Irma, flood waters can intrude into the hangars by a few feet so we want to mitigate any damage by moving any items up or at a minimum to the rear of the hangar.

The SER team will continue our preparations for the ramp and keep you informed as we receive any new information.  Attached for you here is the latest update from the National Weather Service and DOT.  No Airport closures have been announced at this time.

Also, if you are a Facebook member, please remember to like and follow the South East Ramp Facebook page so that in the event of a loss of power, that is where the first updates will be posted following the storm.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Thank you,
