Good afternoon everyone
I wanted to bring to everyone’s attention again, that our dumpsters are here for your use but all items must be placed INSIDE the dumpster can (not just inside the fenced area). The dumpsters are also to be used for trash that is accumulated here within your hangars and not household items.
We have had a continuing problem with the misuse of our dumpsters (with items such as appliances and lawn mowers) and your cooperation is appreciated.
Also please note the special concern which was sent today from the Fire Chief:
Seminole County and the surrounding cities have recently seen an increase in dumpster fires. This increase has our local and state Fire Marshals concerned. In an effort to prevent an occurrence on or near the airport; I ask that you brief your personnel of the situation and remind them of the importance of reporting any suspicious activity (especially related to dumpsters or near any buildings). Please forward this to those you feel need to be made aware.
